Step-by-step guide

SaveGrid setup guide

SaveGrid works with Cyberpunk 2077's Cross Progression cloud save. Create a fresh manual save on PS5, wait for the cloud icon, then sign in to SaveGrid with the same CD PROJEKT RED account.

Before you edit: enable Cross Progression in Cyberpunk 2077 and make a new manual save on PS5. Wait until the cloud icon appears next to that save before opening SaveGrid.

1. Enable Cross Progression on PS5

In Cyberpunk 2077, connect the game to your CD PROJEKT RED account. You can do this from the Load Game screen using the Cross Progression option, or confirm that cross-platform saves are enabled in Settings → Gameplay.

Use the CD PROJEKT RED account connected to the PlayStation profile and Cyberpunk 2077 copy you actually play on PS5.

2. Create a fresh manual save

On PS5, make a new manual save from the game menu. Do this immediately before you want to edit the save so SaveGrid receives the state you actually want to change.

Cyberpunk 2077 uploads the latest save of each save type through Cross Progression. Wait until a cloud icon appears next to the new manual save. That icon is the important part: it means the save has been uploaded to the Cross Progression cloud.

3. Open SaveGrid and sign in

Launch SaveGrid on Windows and sign in with the same CD PROJEKT RED account used by Cyberpunk 2077 on your PS5.

There is no separate Download button inside SaveGrid. Once the manual save has synced through Cross Progression and you are signed in with the correct account, the synced save can be used by the editor workflow.

4. Confirm the backup

Before editing, make sure SaveGrid has created its backup of the original save. Keep an additional independent backup as well if the save is important to you.

The Restore original action exists for exactly this reason: experimenting with save data is much less stressful when there is a known-good state to return to.

5. Edit the values you need

The Player screen exposes level, Street Cred, Body, Reflexes, Technical Ability, Intelligence, Cool and the Relic value.

Quick presets include the Secret Ending preset, Max Level / Street Cred and Max Unspent Points. Preview a preset before applying it so you know what it changes.

6. Edit inventory, money and optional extras

The Inventory screen lets you inspect item quantities and edit eurodollars. The Extras section contains optional changes such as unlocking supported fast-travel terminals.

Change only what you actually need. Smaller edits are easier to verify than changing every possible value at once.

7. Prepare the edited save

When you are finished, prepare the edited save and review the result before sending it back. If anything looks wrong, restore the original backup and start again rather than forcing a questionable save forward.

8. Return to PS5 and load the edited save

Send the prepared save back through the workflow, return to Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 and open Load Game. Keep Cross Progression enabled and stay signed in to the same CD PROJEKT RED account.

If the edited save is not visible immediately, give the cloud sync a moment and check again before creating another save.

CD PROJEKT RED calls this feature Cross Progression. Their official instructions confirm that new saves are automatically uploaded to the cloud and show a cloud icon when the upload completes. Official Cross Progression instructions →
